Togiak
Trading is our store in Togiak, Alaska. Togiak is a village of about 700 located
in southwest Alaska. It is about 400 air miles from Anchorage, and uses Dillingham
for a hub. Togiak is a commercial fishing village that also heavily relies on
subsistence hunting, fishing and trapping. Togiak has a school, post office, Cultural
Center, and two markets, but it does not offer amenities such as banks, restaurants,
or hotels. Togiak is considered a dry village, as it has outlawed the importation,
possession, and consumption of alcohol.
Togiak Trading offers
fresh produce, fresh meat, groceries, non-foods, health and beauty aids, a limited
hardware assortment, and a limited toy and electronics selection. We also carry
some outboard and snow machine parts, as well as toyo stove parts. We are happy
